Getting online is a huge first step for many chiropractors. They hear about another chiropractor getting new patients and they want that for their office too. So they get a website… and nothing happens.
Eventually they will either come to the conclusion that the internet doesn’t work, or they will figure out that an unranked website may as well not exist at all. If no one visits your website, does it exist?
The fundamental issue seems to be that by giving the internet some effort, the chiropractor is no entitled to receive new patients. It just doesn’t work like that.
Even with a #1 ranked website, there’s no guarantee that a new patient will choose you. I’m sure lots of potential new patients visit my website and decide that I’m just not their guy. I can try to recreate my site to generate more calls, or I can go about my strategy; be myself and make sure everyone sees my site.
There’s no law that requires a web searcher to choose the first chiropractic site they see. They may look at several, do some research and make their choice from factors that you can’t foresee. They may not like your video, where your office is located, or the color of your shirt. You’ll never know about it. You’ll just meet the patients that did choose your office.
I can help a chiropractor get a website and make sure it’s ranked. I can help craft a website that is uncluttered and delivers a clear message — but it’s still your message. It’s still you on the site. Your marketing and your chiropractic message still requires your involvement.
A chiropractor that chooses to roll up their sleeves and participate will easily outshine a generic website where the doctor is afraid to put up office pictures or a video of themselves. It’s an easy choice for a new patient to choose the doctor that they feel comfortable with, the one that they got a sense of who they are.
Just having a website isn’t enough anymore. Most offices have a website. The question is, how will you stand out. How will you make yourself the chiropractor that they absolutely, positively, would be silly to not go see?
